Tej Bahadur Singh, a resident of Bhurkhi village in Haryana, is the first male contestant to reach the Rs 1 crore question on KBC 12. Unable to answer the question, he resigned and won Rs 50 lakh as prize money.

His father had died when he was a child. He lived with his mother and three sisters. As a result, he dropped out of school after the eighth grade and began driving an autorickshaw.

As a way of supplementing his income, he began to participate in quiz contests and even appeared on a few local television shows. He has married only two years ago. Tej intends to use his prize money to purchase a house and establish a small business to support his family
